challenging instrument that makes many new turners nervous.
In this hands-on workshop, professional turner Dane Groneman will help you overcome this fear
and learn to use this helpful tool safely and efficiently.
By acquainting you with the challenges of the skew—and how they can each be avoided, Dane
will help you master the basic techniques needed to get the most out of this useful tool. You will
then practice your new skills by using the skew chisel to turn a functional French rolling pin, a
classic kitchen tool and a worthy project in itself.
You will learn:

- How to turn a classic French rolling pin
Prerequisites: None. All skill levels welcome.
Tools required: None. All tools and materials supplied by the school. However, if you have your
own skew chisels, you are welcome to bring them.
