Make a Wooden Flute
Make a beautiful flute — and learn to play it, too! This is an 8-hour class in two sessions, with four hours each day. We will need time for the glue to properly dry. The Flutes will be made of Walnut.
Day 1. Saturday Aug. 15 from 9:00am to 1:00pm
Day 2. Sunday Aug.16 from 11:00am to 3:00pm
We have had many requests to repeat this workshop so this is the fifth time we are offering it and look forward to having a fun and rewarding time. Leland is a master fluke maker and he knows how to play it.
You will learn:
to process the blanks cut them in half
shape the blanks
make the fetish
how to locate and drill the sound holes tune the flute
This will be a fun and rewarding class, come join the fun.
If you have a “special” piece of wood please feel free to bring it. The minimum size must be 25″ long and 1-1-2 inches square
