Upgrade your woodworking skills — and your living room — in just two days, by building a beautiful veneered side table. Featuring a veneered walnut top with waterfall edges and legs of ebonized walnut, the finished piece is both contemporary and timeless.
This beginner-friendly workshop is designed and taught by master craftsman Doug Forsha, a veneer specialist, who will guide you through every step.
You’ll choose one of three classic veneer patterns for the top — or design your own, with instructor approval — and will then prepare and press the panel yourself.
You will learn to shape and miter-fold it to create seamless edges, using special jigs to simplify the process. You will shape the legs and learn to ebonize them, which is a fantastic way to create a rich, dark luster in almost any wood. The finished table measures approximately 15″x 15″ x 23″ high The table legs detach for easy storage or shipping.
