This fun, two-day workshop is open to all and is a great way to upgrade your kitchen while building new woodworking skills.
Each student will build a matching striped cutting board and serving tray that is perfect for entertaining at home or giving as gifts. You will have a combination of up to five different varieties and can customize the layout to suit your taste. The wood selection includes cherry, walnut, maple, oak, and, ash.
You will learn:
- Edge gluing
- Joining and Planing
- Router use
- Template routing
- Tongue and groove joinery
- Sanding and finishing
Prerequisite: None. Open to all skill levels, including beginners.
Tools required: All tools and materials supplied by the school.

Safety
Eye, hearing and dust protection are required in the machine room or when operating machines in the bench room.
Long sleeves and loose-fitting clothing are not allowed around the power equipment. Long hair must be pulled back and secured.
Closed-toe shoes are required. Open-toed shoes or sandals are not allowed.
COVID Policy: Masks are optional, however, if you are exhibiting symptoms of any contagious illness or if you have had a positive test for COVID or influenza within the past 5 days, please notify the school and do not attend class.
