RTB201H21 Router Jigs and Techniques

August, 28 - August, 29 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The router is the most versatile power tool in the workshop, with far more applications than most people realize.

In the Router Basics Workshop, we introduced the router and the many operations that can be performed.

But how do we go beyond the basics? By using jigs, as master craftsman Andy Glantz will show us. With router jigs, the capabilities of this tool is nearly limitless, as you will learn.

In this great class, Andy will guide us through the creation and use of several jigs that greatly expand the range of operations that can be performed with the router. The jigs that you will make in this class will start you on a path that is limited only by your imagination.

No matter what experience you’ve had with the router, you’ll leave this two-day class with the desire to push you boundaries.

Bring your own router and bits or use ours. If you would like to purchase a router in advance of the class and would like some guidance on what to buy, feel free to email We’ll be happy to help.

You will learn:

  • Jig design
  • Jig construction
  • Jig application
  • Router set-up
  • Bit selection
  • Multiple pass techniques.

Tools required: Tool kit supplied by the school. However, if you have your own router and bits, you are encouraged to bring them.

Please bring ear and eye and hearing protection and a safety mask.

Class size: Maximum 9

Please read and understand our Refund and Cancellation policies. By making payment you acknowledge that you have read and understood these policies.

PLEASE NOTE: In addition to our standard class policies, we are taking additional precautions due to the COVID-19 virus. Effective May 26, 2020:
