This class is perfect for beginners\, but is also fun for those who have some experience. Your instructor will walk you through the safe use of the lathe and chisels\, then will guide you as you design and create your own unique wooden pen. Each student will make at least one 7mm slimline pen\, with an option to purchase and make another pen or a pencil if time permits. Wooden pens are comfortable to use and stunning to look at — and they make great gifts\, too! Come join the fun. Prerequisite: None. Open to beginners. Tools required: All tools and materials supplied by the school. Class fee includes materials to make two 7mm slimline pen\, with an option to purchase and make a pencil or a third pen if time permits. Please bring ear and eye protection and a safety mask. Open-toed shoes or sandals are not allowed. Class size: Maximum 8. Please read and understand our Refund and Cancellation policies. Long sleeves and loose-fitting clothing are not allowed around the power equipment. Long hair must be pulled back and secured. Closed-toe shoes are required. Open-toed shoes or sandals are not allowed. COVID Policy: Masks are optional\, however\, if you are exhibiting symptoms of any contagious illness or if you have had a positive test for COVID or influenza within the past 5 days\, please notify the school and do not attend class.
