IWW100J21 Introduction to Woodworking
October, 4 - October, 8 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM$790
This class is designed to give the student a solid introduction to woodworking.
Want to jumpstart your woodworking journey?
Our Introduction to Woodworking class is a one-week daytime class that covers the key aspects of woodworking, including the properties of wood, safe use of the most common hand and power tools, and fundamental skills like how to mill lumber, how to cut joinery by hand and machine, construction and assembly techniques, gluing, sanding, and finishing.
While not as in-depth as our twelve-week Fundamentals series, this engaging class will familiarize students with the woodworking shop and the basics of the craft so you can decide if woodworking is for you. (Hint: It probably is!)
