BBD101D23 Make a Fancy Butter Board

April 22 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

$157.00

Butter makes everything better — so let's make a better butter board!

In this fun and educational workshop, participants will each make a solid-wood butter board with an elegant swan-neck handle. Along the way, you will also acquire key woodworking skills including edge gluing, jointing and planing, scroll saw use, burning, sanding, and finishing.

As all trend-setting party hosts know, butter boards are popular for home entertaining, as they can be dressed up with a variety of goodies to create an impressive display.

Smear them with butter or a whipped cheese and sprinkle on fresh or dried fruit, nuts, herbs, condiments, or other tasty combos and serve with bread or crackers.

A custom butter board brings an elevated touch to the party, and you’ll finish your board with a food-safe protectant finish so it will be ready for use — or ready for gifting.

You will learn:
• Edge gluing
• Jointing and planing
• Scroll saw use
• burning
• Sanding and finishing
