BSD101G21 Band Sawn Dovetails

July, 10 - July, 11 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Michael Fortune is famous for his mastery of the band saw, and in this two-day workshop, he’s will teach us how he uses this versatile machine for an unexpected purpose: cutting accurate dovetails.

Dovetails are the hallmark joint of fine woodworking, but they can be laborious to make, even with a jig. Michael, of course, has a creative solution and will teach us how to produce this iconic joint using the band saw.

He’ll also share some clever band saw tricks that will greatly improve your skills and give you a new appreciation of this tool.

You will learn:

      • make the jigs
      • set up the saw
      • control your cuts
      • clean up the joint
      • assemble the joint
